Why this is a reservation service rather than an app, and what that changes for a five o'clock flight.

The problem we were built around

Charlottesville has rideshare, and in the middle of a Tuesday it works fine. The trouble starts at the edges: before dawn, on the county roads, on a graduation weekend when every car in town is taken, and on the long runs to Dulles that drivers decline because the trip back is empty.

Those are precisely the trips that matter most. Missing a connection because nobody accepted the ride is a different kind of problem from waiting ten extra minutes for a lunch trip. So this service works the way car services worked before apps: you book ahead, the price is agreed, and the ride is a commitment rather than a request broadcast to whoever happens to be nearby.

We are small on purpose. You talk to the person who will be in the driver's seat, and that person already knows the pickup, the flight, and the plan before the day arrives.

How a booking works

You send the trip
By phone or through the form — date, time, pickup address, and where you are headed.
We quote a flat price
For your exact address, usually within fifteen minutes. Nothing is charged at this point.
You confirm
The trip is then held. If plans change, tell us — there is no cancellation charge for reasonable notice.
We confirm again the night before
Pickup time, driver, and vehicle, so nothing is a surprise in the morning.
On the day
We arrive early. For arrivals, we track the flight and meet you however late it runs.

Questions we get asked

Is this cheaper than driving and parking?
On anything over about four days it usually is, once airport parking adds up — and there is no walk across a dark lot at midnight when you get home. For a two-day trip, driving may still win. We will tell you honestly which is which.
What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
Delays are handled automatically through flight tracking. For a cancellation, call us and we will move the booking to the new day at the same price.
Can you take a group?
Up to six riders with luggage in one vehicle, at one flat price rather than per person. Larger groups can be arranged with notice.
Do you do anything other than airports?
Yes — wine country days, medical appointments at UVA, train connections, and long-distance runs anywhere in Virginia. If it is a road, we will quote it.
