We pick up from the residence halls, the Corner, the apartment blocks along JPA and Jefferson Park, and the Lawn for the students who live there. For first-year families, the practical detail is that O-Hill and Alderman Road are easy to describe but hard to find at five in the morning if you are not from here — we know exactly which door means which building.
The destination is usually CHO or Richmond, occasionally Dulles for international students. All three are quoted together so the ticket, not the drive, decides.
Parents' weekends and graduation are the two dates that sell out first, in hotels and in cars alike. If you are flying into Richmond or Charlottesville for either, book the ride when you book the flight — by the time the weekend arrives, availability across town is thin.
We also handle the reverse of move-out: a car with enough room for a dorm's worth of belongings and a flight to catch the same afternoon.
